





One year after launching his first shoe collection, Christian Louboutin decided that his sexy, stiletto-heeled creations needed a little extra oomph, and painted the bottoms with red nail polish. The rest is history. In March 2007, Louboutin applied for a U.S. trademark on his (literal) stroke of genius.
